Photography 101!

The air felt so nice at 48 degrees with the sun shining that I wanted to get out and do something! I wanted to photograph...but I should have known it wasn't a good time for that. Harsh light at high noon isn't good photography! The best light to photograph in is at sunrise or sunset when you get the dramatic side light from the direction of the sun's rays. Also, if you are doing portrait photography then overcast light is the best for softening the face with diffused light. This photograph I took at high noon in the shade--it is not a artistic photograph!
