This photograph is a view from the street near the SeaTac Community Center. When the Port of Seattle bought out all the houses in the North SeaTac Park vicinity they promised to create a park. This is a portion of it! A blocked off road with a pile of dirt. You can go walking in here from the botanical garden at the community center but I am afraid it is full of homeless people. The unkempt park is not so inviting! I wish that the Port of Seattle would do its part and finish and make the park proper--something to compete with the Green Lake walking path. The path in North SeaTac Park should be paved for wheelchair access and wide enough for people going in both directions. There needs to be a paved lined parking lot.

This is the access to a running track left behind by a torn down school. A dead end street with a chain link fence and a "No Parking" sign! They could have left the school for a community art center. Get rid of the chain linked fences within the park, hire a park designer and do it properly!

North SeaTac Park and neighboring Sunset Park are located right next to each other under the SeaTac Airport flightline. It was bought out by the Port of Seattle due to noise pollution and the danger of airplanes dropping their fuel--to my knowledge! The result is a half ass unfinished park.

Here is the sign for Sunset Park. The bench overlooks the tennis courts that need to be resurfaced. There is also a soccer field and two baseball fields. The bathrooms need to be redone!

Here is the sign for the North SeaTac BMX Park with peeling stain and all! It existed before North SeaTac Park and may operate on its own. There needs to be parking, get rid of the chain linked fence and operations need to resume! When I was younger there was often races and gatherings here with an announcer. The park needs to be improved and revitalized. There is one other BMX track in Washington State and it is in Everett. Here is a video of the North SeaTac BMX Park in operation:

The next video is a BMX is the other BMX track in Washington:

I came across a video of a BMX track in Orange, California and it was abandoned. It seems to me there needs to be a BMX organization started to promote, teach and coach people on BMX. It's an individual sport but organized practice runs with competition would be nice! In thinking about the future a coffee shop would also be enticing!

Here is a 28 minute video of a guy on a mountain bike touring North SeaTac Park:

The park has a network of small segments of mountain biking/mulit-use trails maintained by an outside organization. There needs to be maps and trail signage in the park.

Walking trails, disc golf course, baseball fields, soccer field and kids' play area exist in North SeaTac Park.
