Mental Illness!

Recently in the news there was a man released from prison and within a week he attempted to rape a woman in the King County Courthouse bathroom. She screamed and help arrived before the act occurred but she still suffered trauma and scrapes and bruising. The news reports he is mentally ill. Insignificant fact. The mental illness does not make someone a rapist or a murderer. Mental illness is a condition that some people suffer due to a deficiency in their system. Mental illness does not make you evil. Evilness is a part of a person who consciously chooses to be evil! I wish the news would stop sensationalizing mental illness as if it were the cause of evil doing! You can be a good person or a bad person with mental illness--it all depends on who you choose to be! Punish him for his crimes!
