When I attended the University of Washington there was only one class in Medical Anthropology offered and we studied diseases within populations...if I remember correctly (Ecolology of Stress Health). I researched colon cancer and its prevalence in the United States. And I remember learning about throat cancer in China being due to people eating infected chickens! "Many students who complete this option plan to pursue post-graduate training and careers in health-related fields such as public health, epidemiology, nursing, medicine, and global health."
