Okay, I like to say I am on the ketogenic diet but I am learning...I am still learning. Today I decided I would buy some keto ice cream but upon reading the label discovered it was not keto at all! Maybe if you had two spoons for a serving it would work?! There were 17 grams of carbohydrates in a serving and to my knowledge you are only allowed 12 grams of carbohydrates in a day. Then there was 9 grams of sugar alcohol which I don't think is okay. Now just like "organic" products we have to have some labeling criteria for "keto" products...when will that come? In the meantime, I am reading up on Maria Emmerich's website:
which has valuable information on the keto diet! She has written numerous cookbooks on the subject and has the experience to share!
