Community Center for the Homeless!

A Community Center for the homeless is something I propose to end the over crowded shelters and homeless encampments. It is rentable studio rooms with private bathrooms--no more shared living quarters! I see it as a multi-level building, like a hotel, and a cafeteria. Tenants are provided to have their own coffee pots, microwaves, and mini refrigerators. The rooms come furnished--all they have to do is show up and relax--no more toting their belongings with them where ever they go!
A Community Center room is not free of charge. It will cost a minimum of $500 a month or 20% of one's individual income determined by a pay slip. What if they don't have a job? Then they may have up to a month to find income and may be referred to a job placement agency. Many of the homeless are receiving disability payments--but they don't have enough to make rent; so the Community Center model is really designed to help those on disability or in similar situations (sometimes retirement benefits don't make ends meet!).
No roommates allowed, just married couples can share a room and additional connecting rooms may be provided for those with children. In other words, families are welcome too!
Now, that's affordable housing!!!
